Concept

The Zero Residual™ concept enables the user to accurately dose medication and maintain control throughout the procedure, without compromising on safety in different aspects. The low residual volume guarantees an optimal return, it allows the user to make more efficient use of the medicine which is available and to reduce spillage.

The Zero Residual™ concept is currently primarily used by ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals for injecting anti-VEGF medication for the treatment of wet-AMD, DME and other related ocular diseases. Ophthalmologists are also involved in the on-going discussions regarding further improvements to the concept.

Zero Residual™ Syringes

The Syringe in combination with the needle has a low residual volume (<0.0005ml), which gives an optimal return of medication. The small inner diameter of the barrel in combination with a low friction plunger ensures accurate dosage control. The syringe is manufactured using high grade medical materials and a minimal amount of silicone oil is applied.

Zero Residual™ needles

Our needle is available in the following gauge sizes: 30G, 31G, 33G. The innovative design ensures that there is no dead volume inside the hub when placed on a Zero Residual™ syringe. Available in various lengths.

Zero Residual™ Cap and Tray

The Luerlock cap enables air-free pre-filling of the Zero Residual™ syringes. This eliminates the presence of air bubbles and therefore reducing the need and risk of agitation by flicking. The tray maintains the product integrity of the pre-filled syringe during transport.

Developments

A substantial part in the reduction of spillage is realized during compounding. To facilitate the compounding process, Zero Residual™ started developing compounding tools. Either of the tools show below can be used for the same end goal, which is the user friendly compounding of pre-filled syringes and reducing the workload/production time.
